I have Fjällräven, Dome 3. I thinks that's a really good tent (thumbs)

What/ were is your intended use ? This is important as the is NO perfect tent. A bit like bikes realy. I use a MSR Hubba Hubba for how weather and a vaude Taurus 2 for colder wetter weather both very good and both recommended but for different reasons

Check out the robens voyager2 ex. A nice size and will pack into a pannier.

North Face Rock 22 it's a MSR Hubba Hubba copy but half the money, quick to put up no threading poles through sleeves like traditional domes twin doors and porches. Was bought for my Christmas last year and has only been up in the back garden but that will change next year

Similar designs are the Vango Hurricane / Chinook - bit more expensive. Sure I read about poor quality poles with Northridge, but seems to be the case with a lot of mid range tents these days. My ultimate tent would the Terra Nova Quasar but there serious ££££s.

Vango make top notch tents.

Ok some of the backpacking and extreme lightweight ones are a bit pricey, but it's all dependent on what you need it for.

I have a Vango Spirit 200+ ok again currently £300 but i wanted small and lightweight - nice large porch, big enough sleeping area for 2, well made, light weight and very small pack size (smaller than my 3 season sleeping bag, I have a 2010 model and it's dark green with orange interior- keeps it nice and dark when the sun comes up at 5am.
new model has a door both side of the porch but mine has one on the left if your looking out of the sleeping area.

It's a bit limp and soggy in the pic.

only negative things are porch has no ground sheet, but you can get a foot print for around the £40 mark, that i believe goes under the sleeping area and will also fit with the tent in the bag. I use a £3 dark green tarp.
and the internal height is low... in can sit cross legged in the center, but not kneel with my back straight.
Vango Spirit 200+

the whole Vango range is well designed and made, I'm after a larger tent for next year as the mrs now has her own little bike so size in a pannier wont matter and the Spirit is a little cramped for more than a few days.
Think we'll be getting the Ark 300+Vango Ark 300+

I've had my Quasar for over 20 years now and it's survived being pitched at over 22,000 feet, screwed up and shoved into all kinds of bags, puked in, cooked in and generally abused and the only damage is a burnt mosquito net on one of the inner doors when I was drunk and threw a cigarette end out when it was shut and a broken pole connector from when I took the inner tent caving as a base camp bivvy and forced it through a gap where it really wasn't supposed to go.

When you work it out for times used against cost they're not really that expensive. I wouldn't swap mine for any other tent unless I was carrying it on my own at seriously high altitudes.
