To open it I had to "Save Target As..." then open in MapSource when attahed in GPX is this right ?

Yes, thats what I had to do, If I just clicked the link it opened it in txt with no option to save.

cheers Alun all we need now is a dedicated satnav route section to upload all our great rides...

maybe we could have a small donation to a chosen charity for all those down loading the routes, seems fair and all for a good cause.

now no more saying hay that area is good you`ve got to see this or do that route..

just a declamer to the uploader,. and a link to mapsource so poeple dont ask loads questions...more work eh.

Just clicked on it and my map source opened up with the route.

Can we have a similar option to upload KML files ?

Just asking as I have applications that can create them from a track log and add piccies with embedded geotags on at the point they were taken... too complicated to explain without clogging the thread... but it does mean that you can open an "illustrated" track log in Google Earth then save the route as a gpx if you wanted to in the future
