They noticed I do a lot of commuting in all weathers and sent me some samples to try out.

VisorVision - a simple little 'wipe' that you apply to the inside of the visor. You will never have another steamed up visor ever again, even in cold wet weather this product works a treat.

Raincoat - this is a gel that is spread over the outside of the visor, then when dry (takes a minute) is polished off. Its really weird hearing the rain hitting your helmet and having no rain on the visor, the rain is simply and effectively repelled.

Personally I dont like inserts - FogCity and Pinlock, I have several helmets and it becomes expensive, however these products are the answer. They are 100% effective and highly recommended to all who venture out in any weather (most riders on here I guess).

Errmm... Mr Sheen - clean your visor well with baby soap so there is nothing scratchy , liberally apply Mr Sheen to a soft rag and smear all over visor then polish off.

Rain hits and beads up and runs off... simples... a trick told to me by a BSB helmet tech. Also told me that two layers , leave overnight to dry the first one, will also help delay the start of fine grit scratches appearing, as the grit particles get trapped in the wax layer and get washed off when you apply the next coatings.

Should last about a week for commuting in winter. Heavy rain , apply it as required.

Tried it, yes its ok for outside but certainly doesn't stop misting on a cold wet winter commute. In 30 odd years I have tried everything including all the olds wives remedies like lemon juice. Nothing has ever worked as well as this stuff I promise.

Always be careful of any products derived from solutions originally made for coatings on glass. it's the solvents , always end up rotting visors. so let us know if you see any cracking within the next months.

I made the mistake of using Rainex once, worked great for a month then my visor just shattered one day riding along. Same thing, reacted with the plastic and made it brittle.

It appears to be tried and tested and used on military equipment so I guess it is well safe.

+1 ive been using fog tech products for years, if applied properly they work brilliantly.
