So you want my vote.
I know what I’m voting for.
I don’t have a clue who’s is in the running.
So I can’t base my vote on the best person for the job.
I’m not going to vote for a conservative candidate. Simply because I’m conservative.
As things stand, do we need it? No.
Do I want it? No.
Do I think it’s a waste of good money? Yes.
So what do I do?
To answer my own question, Bugger all........ I won't be voting.

I always thought, you have the right to vote so you should, but not in this case, not voting seems more apropriate. Lack of interest can also send a message.

This could turn out to be the non-event of the year..
I never see police people where I live.. whoever wins will make no difference at all...
£80,000 a year up the Swanee.. I Won't Be Voting.

Re: So You Want My Vote
Typical really....
The UK judicial/penal system is a creaking gate at best, and the choice
given relates to a matter of leadership...........................................................
It's like asking if we should plug the holes in a sinking ship with paper or chocolate :S
Arguably, scribbling out some signatures would make more sense- Social Treaty, and Human Rights charter
- would free our judges hands in sentencing, and would mean that life could mean life again,
in those cases where it mattered. (the lowest I've come across so far was a 7 year stretch for 'manslaughter').
Some benefits in the immigration stakes too.
Although this would have to be balanced up with some entrenching of rights that should be
unfettered in this country - the right to protest, for instance, which has been under threat in
the last 10 years or so ......
Like a lot of people, I'm hoping we might one day see a referendum on the EU.....
Not holding my breath though..

Re: So You Want My Vote
Mark I would vote for you anytime. I have not been able to bring myself to vote for any politician since I ended puberty. :S
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.
Re: So You Want My Vote
I'm so excited by this, so much so that I can't remember where I put the voting cards
If you are going to go to the bother of showing up please don't screw your card. What that will do is boost the voting percentage & they can claim it was an overwhelming success with a majority turnout. All is well with democracy.
Tick the independent box (if there is one), if enough people do that it might start to worry some of those pigf*ckers sitting up in the big house about keeping some feckin promises for a change

With enough profanity, you can accomplish anything
