My Greeves has pretty much the same set up. Soon as the weather warms up, I'll be needing to strip and un-seize the springs............May look clean and shiny, but they are solid and I think it's shat from over the years that's worked it's way up ?

Keep the progress posts going, I love this stuff !

I could have this wrong, but didn't Greeves use rubber torsion bushes rather than conventional springs on the early fork (later forks used conventional shocks?)

You may very well be right Mr.S ! No time to read what looks like an interesting article, as I'm about to head North from London to my workshop tonight. Never had the front end in bits, but that's the plan this week. If I do have rubber bushes in there I'm imagining replacements will be hard to find ? I'll post when I find out ;) Thanks for the warning ! (I'll read the article later once I've navigated the rush hour)

They will have to be pressed out...a bit like car suspension bushes, I guess.

What's the lens/camera you used there mate?
An i-phone 11. I often use the (Free) phone photo app called; 'Snapseed' for editing.

Cheers.

I meant the way the Axles dont visually line up with the hub centres and the wheels being far from round, not a compression issue
I guess it's just a wide angle Lens and it's effect is more prominent in the area of the bike (is the pic cropped?)
