Perfect Day and a World record

Post by Alun »

Morning all, yesterday was bordering on perfect. A great ride, in glorious weather along the fantastic roads of mid Wales to the Brecon Beacons and then a hike taking in the top two summits in South Wales. And, as my top box isn't big enough to take a lid I carried the bloody thing to the top and in the process made a first ascent of the highest mountain in South Wales whilst carrying a helmet.

I had some mighty strange looks from the hikers along the way plus the inevitable 'hey mate you've forgotten your bike' comments.

The view from the car park. That's the twin summits of Pen y Fan and orn Du in the background.

The lid wasn't as fit as it thought and had to take a rest now and again. Great views all the way up

Me "old mucka" Chad from Essex , is getting some Jessie Bags sent over from the US.

The topbox is huge and made of aluminium , might be the answer to your problems - good storage capacity and very secure to leave for longer periods. My worry with plastic boxes is that if someone really wants in they will.

I'll post details once he shares them with me.
It matters not what you have or where you take it ........... Every ride is an adventure and every motorbike was built for adventure.

Yes, details please. But you know I quite liked carrying the lid up - it was a great conversation starter.
