Where To Stay In Perth & Kinross?

Post by Boggs »

Thinking about visiting this area and was wondering if any well travelled forum members out there have discovered any top notch B&B's or cheap accommodation that are a must stop off point.

Try this www http://www.hostel-scotland.co.uk/ some great places, and if you venture as far as Tyndrum the hostel "By the Way" is excellent

I live in Crieff which is about 25 miles from Kinross, lovelly roads for biking, popular and enjoyed by many! There are several b&bs in the village, there is really nice hotel called the barleybrie in muthill (4 miles from crieff) you can't go wrong finding a place in Crieff, when you leave you can head towards st. Fillans and up through crainlarich. Drop me a line if you need the inside track on anything, delighted to help!

We went a bit further up, followed the A9 up to Inverness and did both the East coast and west coast.
Stopped here http://www.directholidayhomes.co.uk/spr ... 1475b.html which cost £200 between 5 of us for the week, and we averaged about 140 miles a day round some fantastic roads.
Can highly recommend it (although it's a bit of a way from the pub) but has everything you need if you're happy cooking
