I'm thinking about leaving my home in Dorset on the Tuesday or Wednesday before the rally and spend some time riding to Ullapool.
I've never been to Scotland on the bike and I'm really looking forward to it and want to immerse myself in the ride there. Can anyone recommend me some "must do" roads please? I've read and seen Applecross, Glencoe etc etc mentioned and would really like to do those.What else do I have to do?
I guess if I leave on Tuesday and stop north of Manchester on Tuesday night I could be in staying in Scotland for my first night on Wednesday night, leaving Thursday and Friday free to get to Ullapool.
Thanks for your very welcomed advice.
Cheers
Mark

TDM Tam, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I've now got the basis of a good route to get there.
Re: Please Recommend Some Good Roads On The Way
My plan for the trip now looks like this;
Leave home Tuesday - Tuesday night camp at Kendal C&C Club site
Wednesday ride to Luss (Loch Lomand - Camp at Luss C&C Club site
Thursday ride to Skye - Camp at Skye C&C Club site
Friday ride to Ullapool -
I'll probably leave on Monday, leaving Sunday free for another ride around the Highlands etc.
Monday ride to Penrith and camp at Troutbeck C&C Club site.
If anyone would like to join me during the days for a ride or even just meet up at the camp sites it would be great to have your company.
Cheers
