Seriously, take it easy and enjoy the trip, I've been riding a long long time and still learning, look around you, you will notice diesel spills on roundabouts and on exitsfrom petrol stations, old people!!!! And people on the phone! Take it all in and when they are not there have some fun! As previously mentioned, get across the channel, head for route de grande Alps (Google it) and enjoy, I bet when you get home your crash lid won't be able to contain your smile :)
