Looks like a Pyrenees convoy is coming together, for the HISS Aragón.
I could meet you in Bossòst,, then over the col Portillon to Bagnères-de-Luchon, over the col du Peyresourde, depending on time and weather, there are a few ways to go over back towards Tarbes,
Great riding roads. Then onto the meeting place that you agree with the others.

That sounds cool. I like Bossost, so French! and I can fill up in Vielha before meeting you (thumbs)

As you say, great riding roads all the way along - we could double back into Spain through the Bielsa tunnel as I don't like doing the Tourmalet east-west and I may be able to show you a treat or two on 'my' side . . .

The Tourmalet is great at the moment with over 1m of snow on it, great to ski the col and down the road on both sides, to La-Mongie and Barrages good fun.

I bet it is - and a whole stack more from this afternoon

Another alternative to St P de P might be just over the frontier, if the Boys from Blighty set out from their channel port fresh on the Friday morning they could easily do that and this way we would have time to enjoy the Bardena Blanca jolly - boty Irati and the Bardena might be pushing it a bit.

My favourite camping up there is at Ochagavia, and the lads could cross into Spain via the Larrau pass as before - and have some cheap beer and great Spanish food

PS - great deal depends on the weather; if it's foggy on the French side the Irati is out, if the El Cierzo is blowing down the Ebro depression the Bardena is out and we'll have a horrible time crossing the region

Spud, leave me out for the moment mate. I am still in the lap of the God (planners) for a week or so... I'll give you a call in teh next day or so and fill you in. (thumbs)

The timescales you have would be perfect for me otherwise... Maybe I could kip on the floor ;-)
SteveR: does Paul read this Forum? He confirmed he's coming to the HISS and might be keen on this run (thumbs)

Paul is not a big Forum browser I think but I am in touch with him regularly. He is planning on bringing a lightweight to Aragon with a trailer, if all goes to plan. Plan B is a road ride... ;)
