Last year when we went we had torrential rain for 5 1/2 hrs and got down as far as Bescanon (just north of Annecy) on the first day. There's a Formula 1 and a great Steakhouse - good for a dry night and an early start

Had a good ride home, ended up in the Black Forest for a bit, but plenty of rain and hail made me decide to head home the next day.
Hope you had a good trip, and i'll keep checking the forum for some nice event to join
