There is only one better feeling, but that's over on the thread ." ARE YOU A Adventurous Bonker " lol
See above post. That's exactly the plan and why I'm taking on the massive mortgage now, you just beat me to writing it.

I'm with -Ralph- on this one.

With my wife, longer Adventures will not be a problem, but with two children no. These sorts of long term adventures will have to wait until the children have flown the nest.

I wouldn't have it any other way, I've got the best of both worlds now and then in the future to look forward to. ;)

You see I don't call what I do a Adventure. I go touring on my Motorcycle.
Some tours have lasted a few day's in my home country and other's have been much longer and abroad.
The use of the word Adventure Travel is a trendy term for Touring !

I have been touring on Harley Davidson's BMW's and Jap bike's. Which ever I have at the time.
I also think it's the media that have put the idea in peoples heads that you have to ride a certain type of bike and go to far off places  .

We would all do better to pull the plug on the internet and spend more of our free time riding and enjoying being out on our bike's.

Safe fun Touring

I do lots of motorbike touring, I get a one week pass about once a year, then do maybe 2 or 3 long weekends.

I've done a few what you might call mini-adventures, a week off road in Portugal twice (once on a chinese CG125 copy with knobbly tyres :) ), and a week off road in Mexico.

I green lane in France a few times a year, but that's on a quad.
