But you haven't disagreed, or presented any evidence to the contrary, you've just made a personal attack.

If you have a counter argument, or can present evidence that sitting astride a bike while filling has caused X amount of injuries then please present it.

Disagreeing is great, resorting to personal attacks instead, are the actions of a knob.

Calling someone a knob could be considered a personal attack Ralph.
Back on subject, why is shells policy such a hard task for you to do? Would you stop going round to a mates house because he asked you to take your boots off before you entered his living room? Or wear a condom before having a threesome with his wife? You have entered someone else's property so being polite you do as they ask,
yes you are giving them your money so not really relevant, but its still there property, it may make there insurance a little cheaper if thay are taking risk assessments?
The helmet policy is a bit complex, bikers went to prison for not wanting to wear them, yet moan for having to take it off? Whats it all about ? No one likes rules, me probably the most :)

Nowhere in the subject or throughout the thread does it say this is a topic only applicable to the UK.

I said "don't be a knob", I didn't say "you are a knob". It was a request/caution, not a statement. Yet he chose to continue with it so draw your own conclusions.

Besides, I don't support attacking other forum members, but once attacked, I wouldn't blame any forum members for responding.

Also, all I said my first post on this thread was I won't be going to Shell then. It's not my mates house, and even if it were I have the choice not to go there if I don't agree with his rules.

Where do you think it was applicable to?

As I don't live in the UK, and the forum isn't specifically for people who do, it could be anywhere. I don't know where every member lives, and a lot of member profiles are locked down so only their shadows can see them, yours being one of them.

and you'll just keep going on and on and on, because you just love to argue, that seems to be your whole reason for coming on here and it's nauseating.

You could try going out for a ride tomorrow and write a little report with some photos of your bike in the countryside but that's not really your style is it

I knew someone else who was like that. A session of colonic irrigation showed there was a peanut stuck. Once it was washed out, said person was happy and relaxed again.

Personally I usually sit on the bike when filling it up. Don't know why its just what Ive always done. However if I was told I need to be off the bike it wouldn't be a drama id just do it.
The way I see it is would you not go to the petrol station if they told you you couldn't be on your mobile while filling up? You'd still go there because somebody in the past has caused a fire by their actions. Im guessing the same has happened with someone sat on their bike filling up. It's no different.
We moan about safety rules and regs but we are the first ones to claim against the companies when we get injured as there wasn't adequate warnings and controls put in place.
Shell are covering their arses.

Who's still posting this morning? Pot, Kettle.

Yeah I quite like a good debate, it is one of my reasons for coming on here, but at least I'm able to provide debate while respecting other people, something you seem to sorely lack.
