I am based in Cumbria, M6 Jctn 38 or Scotch corner on the A1. I can either get it from Gretna heading south or maybe from cumbria down to the HUBB, we are going on Friday.

Cheers, Paul.

I'm happy to run it over to the Chilterns Rally, will take me about 3hrs via B roads, then I'll head back home to the Essex coast.....just looking at the route I may change it and make a day of it and take it for a little bimble into Suffolk and Cambridgeshire as well B)

Do you know if FMFox will be heading down to the Chunnel?

If so I can probably head down to Folkestone and then take the baton either as far as Box Hill or maybe onto Loomies if there are no other offers.

I've just sent this to Will Via PM, I hope it helps answer your question

The plan is to leave the ACE around 3/4 in the afternoon head out towards the M25 and go Anti Clockwise towards Dover (That way our friends from Bristol can peel off at the M4). Our ferry is booked for the following morning and we're staying in a Premier in just outside Dover on the 21st.

Let us know if you need any more info.

Hi Foxy

Sounds great, I'm sure a few riders will join you and give you a great send off. Just for the record, where are you 2 going? Doing a full RTW?

Cheers Will

I had another great and productive day today. I had a bit of a ring around some of the advertisers in the latest ABR mag seeing if I could scrounge some goodies to raffle or auction off. The results were pretty good!

Win No.1
Sam & Ian at the HUBB said they'd do their upmost to give us a good welcoming as we arrive at the HUBB. Looking for a rider coming from the north who can commit to a confirmed arrival time on Friday PM or Saturday AM. They'll then let us do a raffle/auction or prize draw, details TBC :woohoo:

Win No.2
The top boys at http://www.thektmcentre.co.uk/ have committed to give us a big bag of KTM swag to flog off or do as we see fit to raise cash for this worthy cause. :woohoo:

Win No.3
Chris at http://www.motorcycles2hire.co.uk/ has committed to giving us one lucky prize winner a free 2 day hire of one of his rental fleet. Fancy a weekend in the West Country on a 1200gs or 800XC? Well, you better get to the HUBB and buy a raffle ticket eh?! :woohoo:

Can anyone add to this list? I've emailed lots of other companies and am waiting for replies. Does anyone have any contacts or 'ins' with any shops/distributors/suppliers?

Another thing to start thinking about is how to actually raise some cash via donations. Spread the word that we're putting this ride together. If you're planning to ride then maybe its a 'quid a mile' type thing or just direct people to the 'Just Giving' page
http://www.justgiving.com/ABRAC?utm_sou ... e_creation

Remember, any penny you get is more than nothing

Cheers

Hi Will and Kate,
I am sorry for only just getting back to you. I would like to help and can either,

Collect from Gretna area and take the baton southward, collect from Manchester/Yorkshire area and bring it to Cumbria or take the baton to the HUBB, arriving early afternoon on Friday.

I can do this mid-week but don't really want to venture much further more north than Gretna into Scotland.

Cheers,
Paul
