Tanger
The hotel i fell into was 100dh a night (€9) i was to tiered to take much notice and booked it for Two nights ......when i took a closer look i got a bed a blanket a shared toilet and shower .....what a shit hole i dumped my wet gear put on dry cloths covered my self with the blanket and slept , two hours later i woke up to the reality of where i was!!! and it was Thur 3rd and my ferry wasn't till the 5th at 4pm
I went down to the bar and asked about food , NO ok i'll fill up with coffee and at 6 cents a go it was the best thing about the place!!! I had two energy bar things and some noodles
The rain never stopped and nothing to do, i cooked on the window cill



Finally Saturday arrived and i was up and out if that dump at 6.30am and at the port for 7am !!! went to book in and was told to come back at noon !!!!
At least there was a cafe. Anyway the Italian guy turned up at 11am so i called him over and we swopped stories , when i saw him coming the othe way a day or two back he'd looked at the sky and looped round over the Rif and it stayed DRY !!!!

Great guy and good company, he'd only booked a seat and i had a 4 berth cabin so let him bunk down with me.
It took 2hrs to unload the ferry and the things that came off were unbelivable


Every van that came off , and there where hundreds, all had massive loads on the roof and suspension bottomed out


Also met Robbie on a XT660Z at the port loved the bike but struggled touching the ground!!




The ferry got into Barcelona at 8pm and i was on the road for 9pm, went round Barcelona 3 times !!!! but finally got out .
764km, 10hrs in wind and rain i arrived home KNACKERED !!!!!!

What a trip , even the shit at the end.

17 days 2 punctures a snapped chain a broken fuel rack a knackered throttle cable a cracked inline filter and snapped subframe..... 5443 kms of total fun

To finish off
If you're thinking about it , JUST GO the people are great the country's great.

And a big thanks to my new adopted son Mark .....great riding buddy, just hope he gets a real bike for next time :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
