As You Say Varying levels... Im into detailing... but for me its not paramount but going that bit further looking a bit more closely just to catch any impending faults etc.
Took the wheels off the car the other day to just clean up the dust build up just to eliminate them from the brake squeal i was hearing and didn't cure it so its the hand brake pads, anyways took wheels off and since off would clean the dust from the backs there only steel wheels.
This in turn meant i noticed the drivers wheel back was covered in grease... so went back to check the steering boot yeas the clip had disappeared so broke snapped somehow, no damage to the boot.
Clean wheel clean grease out of the boot re pack with grease and fit another strap.
Enabled me to catch it before any major issues.
But i can come back from a ride in the Peak District bike covered in mud ,manure etc, its dark its cold just shove it in the garage clean it when i can.
