What screen did you go with in the end?
this is the standard mk2 fairing and screen with a bit of modding to clear the mudguard.
this photo is just the instrument cover fitted

depends on whether you are going to fit a bigger wheel?
if you defo want a 21" my advise would be to source a complete front end,the cheapest option would be to use a WP setup from a ktm or maybe a Yamaha 425 ,off ebay ,and start with that.
if you want to stick with stock yokes etc a g/s650 or Dakar set will fit straight in,but you will lose the speedo drive.
if you are going to stick with the stock forks and 19" wheel (just returning to stock ride height) you really don't want to fit a Dakar shock as it really will mess the handling, the front will be like a shopping trolley ,with no grip.
so both ends need to be done at the same time.you would gain about 4" more ground clearance.
if you mod the footrests as well.fit some decent rubber it will get through this no bother

a standard 650 would have been stopped twenty feet into this lane :(

if i were to stick a 21" front wheel, New upgraded fork springs and a Dakar shock to begin with and modify the foot rests how would it work in your opinion I can always put new forks on in the future ( just seen the prices lol)
I am no to bothered about loing the speedo as i plan on replacing the dash , clocks and lights

that is about the spec of mine at the mo,it handles fine but could do with a bit more rake at the front,it pushes the front slightly when turning,so it feels like the front is going to slide,a bit strange but fine in reality (thumbs)
on the road ,with TKC's fitted it is stable up to about 90mph,with full on knobblies 65 is enough, any faster and white lines and tar seams get it weaving a bit
once on the loose stuff its pretty good at any speed
