ABR Highlands Rally Ullapool 28th-30th Sept 2012
Re: ABR Highlands Rally Ullapool 28th-30th Sept 2012
Still going!
On a different subject tho' just had a meeting with my boss and they have agreed to me taking a month (maybe more) off work next year to do the TAT. If any of you Ullapool campers have ridden (or thinking about) it please come and find me (White Tiger XC) so I can ask stupid questions
Cheers
Dave

If you make it to ullapool , maybe someone can help you adjusting the head bearings.Phil wrote:I'm not canceling....but im not sure I'll make it to ullapool.
I set off on Sunday, bike fell off the stand in the lake district and bent the bar risers!
Then I noticed a 'pattering' feeling in the front, don't think I've tightened the head bearings enough. So this mixed with a fully laden bike and 60mph winds is making the bike handle like a pig on roller skates.
Then yesterday morning my neck / shoulder locked solid, it fookin kills. Ibuprofen all day, hot showers, deep heat and staying in B&Bs is just about getting me through. But I can't see camping as an option
In Oban at the mo not felling too great.
So I'm taking it day by day...hopefully see you all at ullapool, or I'll be passing you all on the other side of the carridge way heading home
Careful Out There .
LWR
Forecast so far ,Chilly, a bit breezy , scattered showers , some sun , clouds and probably everything in between .
Midge forecast . . None on campsite (checked today)

UPdate 25/09/12 Updated first post as well
Talked to the Campsite today regarding the Rally and here a couple of updates .
In the map above I have marked the areas which will be reserved of ABR. !
If arriving on Thursday anytime , please pitch up in SECTION A .
Section B is the overflow area.
Try to keep tents at least 3 m apart (or more).
Watch out driving on the grass , a bit peaty and damp, use stand pucks.
Hard Standing car parking in parking areas, keep access road clear.
No Midges Reported for 1 week now .
