Our sailing is May 1st so we should hear soon
I heard back from my on-line form sent ... cheeky buggers completely ignored all that I said
They wrote back to say ... sorry that you want to cancel your booking (which I never said)!!

Re: Ferry bookings .... Refunds ??
Here is the official email from BF
What happens if this was yr last biking trip you may not have a bike next year
At least the wife's happy coz she wasn't going
Thank you for your email and please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in replying - we are working hard to deal with an unprecedented level of customer contact which has unfortunately resulted in much longer response times than normal.
At the moment, our services are suspended until 22 April but are rescheduled to start operating again after that date although it is an ever-changing situation of course. At this present time, the ferries you booked are still due to operate as scheduled and as such normal Terms and Conditions apply.
There is the possibility, of course, that the suspension of our services is extended beyond 22nd April and should your crossings ever be affected, then we would be in touch as soon as possible via SMS/email. Passengers who have already been affected by the cancellation of their crossings have either amended their dates or received a full refund credit voucher (including the deposit) as recommended by ABTA.
We trust this information is helpful and look forward to welcoming you on board in the not too distant future.
Best regards.
Sally

Re: Ferry bookings .... Refunds ??
I've just cancelled my booking, a voucher doesn't really interest me as I've lost money on vouchers before when companies have gone bust.
If things change by June I'll re-book.

Ive asked for a full refund of £480, no response so far, why should i have a voucher that unlikely to use or just give a company 500 for nothing in return!

So we just let them keep our money making interest on it instead of using it ouselves? I've lost my deposit by cancelling but I'm not taking the chance of losing another £165.00
I've been using Brittany for years but I don't feel the slightest bit bad about not paying my balance. If Covid 19 clears up by June I'll rebook, if they're no longer operating I'll use another service.

Was in the same position (but x 3 as I booked for the group to make sure we all got the same crossings!) and also cancelled before they took the other half.boboneleg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 7:06 pm

Funny how they didn't answer a single email inquiring what our options were before cancelling, but managed to send one within hours confirming 'as per terms and conditions we'd not be getting any sort of recompense' after!
And if Brittany Ferries go down the pan won't feel any responsibility either!

Somebody will fill the gap
We buy things we don't need
With money we don't have
To impress people we don't even like
