Steve, it's similar to the g450x engine but its not the same in the TE449, the engine had a pretty big redesign before it was slotted in the 449

Nice & light powerful but not for the faint hearted at high speed. Had a rear Nomad tank on mine which worked well, had it 2 1/2 years & wish I'd kept it in some respects...

Bike performed great on the way home. Did a few trails in the Peaks. Good on the roads. Seemed happy enough cruising at 70 with bursts up to 85. Perfect what the trip I have planned. Got to stick some bar risers on and an airhawk as that seat feels like Ive been raped after a few hours in the saddle. Apart from that its good to go.

Going to load it with some camping gear and head for the hills in a couple of weeks. Give it a good test.

No problem Mike. Good to meet you. Saved on getting double raped for an "out of town" taxi fare. Dislike other people having to pay them next to paying them for myself :)
