What times are the ferry crossings, or tunnel crossing so I can meet with some of you
And ride down together if that's. Ok. There may be 3 of us going now

Hi picos

I am think ing of meeting up with Al as he lives In the midlands and I'm riding down from manchester and was wondering if I could tag along with the labs from down south and I would prefer not to blast all the way there on the other side. I to wouldent mind avin a ride in to holland and an over night camp on Dutch soil

I am ok for the train / or the ferry crossing the train dose give you extra time to have a more relaxed ride but will go along with the flow .

No problem Steve.
We can all meet at the Terminal & ride the continental bit together.
The decision where to overnight in Belgium or Holland is still very much open......so looking for sugestions.

We'll get a few more takers & then book our tickets.

Hi All,

I have been following this link from last night. I am very keen to join you all if there are any places left. I have a link to the dambusters. My great uncle was one of the training group but didn't do the raid (his name features in the movie) so thought this would be an interesting trip to do. Just got to get the pass out. I would travel down from York.

My Uncle,Ken Rodgers, had something to do with the raid,he was a navigator but did not fly on the raid.He is named in bomber command sites etc and have always wanted to visit he sites, since he made me a Airfix model of the converted Lancaster and told me about it.

Anyhow I have booked my Ferry,Out May 23 at 08:25 return 27 May at 17:15.

Which means I will be leaving North Wales,Shotton, around 02:00-02:30 on 23rd if anyone wants to meet up.

Ferry has cost £30.40 there was an offer to save 20% with P&O

I will be refueling(I usually do at South Mimms BP services)So if anyone wanted to meet there............

Thanks Steve.

Karnevil, always good having a connection. Makes things more personal when there is an affliation with events. My relation is Les Munro, the last surviving DB. Had to turn back on the raid.

I will probably head down the A1M, round the ratrace M25 to the tunnel.

Hi Nicko. /all

Iv been toying with the euro tunnel as its only a 35 min train ride , but I'm going to see what Brian is looking at as he is in the midlands and was going to try and meet up with him down the m6 them head down . The train is looking the better option as iv got a 293 /307 miles 5 1/2 hour ride and can leave a bit later , think there is a train at about 09 50 and meet up with those getting the ferry . But if every one is gona get the ferry to meet up with Karnaevil. I will do the same and leave home at about 2 /2 30 am to catch the 8 25 am ferry to meet up with every one .

Thanks
Steve
