It took about three days for anyone to ask "What happened to the deer, dear?" Callous lot that we are :whistle:
But having seen quite a few crash through the forest over the years, from my bike but mainly put hiking, I can reassure everyone that IMHO I reckon it went off unscathed!
Interestingly both Gaspar and the hotel manager where Paul was put up were both on the case straight away, asking, "Did you eat it?" (thumbs)
They are a real menage to traffic - hence the hundreds of warning signs on the roads - and to the forest as they eat the new shoots of the trees, thus threatening regeneration.
Since the demise of wolves in Spain - extinct in Aragon for decades now although there are lots in the north and west - there is no natural predator (apart from hapless motorists!) and according to the hotel they even 'migrate' across regional boundaries in tune with their varying open seasons for hunting!
