It seems to me that a great deal of money is to be made from war mongering and instability and you need to look to the west for the cause of much of it,too many profitable fingers influencing too many pies.
Any thoughts on Syria?
Whether we think it's right or wrong the President of Syria has asked Russia for assistance and they've given it.

That's fine, what's wrong is what Syria have asked them to do, and they've just gone along with it. And how do we know the Russians didn't suggest that course of action to the Syrians?

Bottom line, there's good reason why the world should be concerned about Putin's Russia.

I think the World should be a lot more concerned about the US Presidential election than what Putin does is up to.

Can't blame Assad for asking for Russian aid. Given that the western countries and Turkey are backing the opposition. Turkey wants to bring down Assad in Syria, yet at the same time kill Kurdish forces that are backed by the west. If countries, particularly Turkey had not backed the revolution groups in Syria the fighting would have ended years ago. People seem to forget that Syria was once considered to be a moderating influence in the region. Get Turkey out of the equation and stop supplying arms to the revolutionary forces. then maybe there would be no need for Russia to be involved. There are many more influences within this troubled region, but at the end of the day it comes down to religion, control of resources, greed and power. Everything else is just window dressing. Sad but true. :(

Whatever the outcome, you can bet someone on here will state that it is not democracy, especially if it does not fit in with their politics/viewpoint. :pinch:

If I thought I could find an unethical bookie :pinch: I'd put money on it that whichever one wins they don't see out a full term.

Joking aside, I really do believe that Americans should take a long hard look at who would take over if the eventual winner fails to last the full term for one reason or another.
