hi folks..
I tried Hermans one on yesterday and as we have similar head shapes

..long and thin , compared to my lg normal size I found the front temple area tight and the checkside bits too..so a size up would be required...
great helmet though and the inner sun visor is good..

Had a lucky tuwn today as I had to drive over to a place near Andorra for timber and dropped in while I was there. Found the acerbis for €119 and with my loyalty discount at I got the lid for €111
First thoughts: the air vents aren't closeable - quite an issue here in the Pyrenean winter when I often set off in seriously sub-zero temps and then get boiled on the trails over midday - but I can live with that.
The interior visor seems a bit flimsy so I don't plan to use it with the main visor open.
It's also feels a bit on the heavy side compared to the AGV AX-8 that I've ceded to Mrs S but for the price what can you say - I'm really pleased!

Cheers Suddy..how did you find the peak ont the ride down? Much lift...suppose I could. Always remove it for fast road stuff..not that I ride fast though

I've pretty much always used this style lid so don't notice much lift think my neck is just used to it

I found the sun visor really distorted my vision......until Tramp kindly removed the clear protection film

It sits in a niche halfway between an mx and a road lid which is what I wanted. For long trips I will probably still use a 'normal' lid.

+ 1 for long trips, the peaks are OK for riding around mountain roads, etc. but you do notice the neck strain during weeks of road riding - the worst is when you glance around at the scenery on fast straights and the breeze snatches the peak, wrenching your neck somewhat, but in truth you soon learn to avoid this. It all depends on your plans - Tramp's idea about taking the peak off while doing long hauls is the way to go, methinks.
