Just got back in from a ride and sat down to watch the recorded race.
Sad news, thought go out to all that were close to him, he'll be sadly missed.
RIP Marco , Godspeed.

RIP Marco #58.
Great racer, cool guy and fab hair.
Moto GP just lost a star of the present and a champion of the future.

Only saw a small bit of tv this morning when they said he was in the medical centre and missed the race entirely. Just got back in to see the dreadful news on the BBC site. Really really awful. I know racing is dangerous and the riders accept broken bones, bruises etc as a risk of the job but losing your life is too high a price to pay. Edwards and Rossi must feel awful. My deepest sympathy to MS's family.

Sick to my stomach at the news.....True racer and legend. Brought sparkle to Moto GP. Moto GP will not be the same without him.

Only a thought but perhaps we should not post anymore replies when we have reached 58 out of respect for this great character.

While not much of a watcher of the MotoGP it is still very heartbreaking news that such a young life has been extinguished at only twenty-four years of age; my thoughts and condolences go out to all who know Mr. Marco Simoncelli much better than I.
May he Ride In Peace.
