And for our soldiers who serve everyday.but I suppose it's OK as long as your Scottish and have a one sided opinion maybe we should fly the scottish/moto al flag instead
Well your age shows your wisdom and naivety, I lost friends and saw my fellow Countrymen come ashore at Bluff Cove maimed, charred and burnt beyond recognition, the smell has never left me. 10 years past I travelled around Argentina and Patagonia, meeting relatives of the lost Junta soldiers, and do you know what I learnt? That everyone has a story to tell and there are opinions on those stories, like it or lump it, that's the way it is !
Al's opinion is as valid as the next man, does it have any value or credence, well that's another discussion but what makes this country great, and what I believe I fought for was we have a freedom of choice and a freedom of speech, the moderators on here should take note and you also !!
Sarge
I maybe young but I am neither stupid nor naive I am simply saying that one persons views on a conflict were bigoted and rude moto al is constantly being border line racist if he loves Scotland as much as he portrays then maybe he should stay up there instead he seems to post about being in England is that not a conflict of interest
Wake up Son, no one is saying your stupid but you are being naive ,Al's opinion is far less offensive than others I have encountered over the years. Mention the Falklands anywhere outside of the the Commonwealth and you will get a negative response. Al is a typical gobby, softy Nationalist, he basks in the freedom the UK has given him but rebukes the idea of being British,, he Is Scotttish after all. at a time that Sturgeon thinks there is a right to undo that union? Some may call that hypocrisy and rightly so, but look around you, it happens everywhere and again why? because we are a democracy and that is what every nation in the world strives for !

Regardless of it being far less offensive it's still offensive to some if not most and he can rebuke all he wants it still doesn't give him the right to belittle people and be an ignorant racist which he clearly is. I hate England and English people yet I will spend most my biking life in England

Regardless of whether or not I agree or disagree with anything Al has stated on this site in the past, there are more than a few who have posted on this thread who have exhibited exactly the behaviour they have accused Al of.
Hypocrisy of the worst kind.

I agree entirely, and censorship shows a weakness in the moderators, we're all big boys and girls ffs !

Can one of you 'Moto Al' sycophants please tell me what exactly was the opinion tha Al was defending in this thread:-
And while you are defending his right to an opinon please explain to me his logic in telling Spud to get off his soapbox like this:-
"I'm very sorry you lost friends spud ,please , please . Don't get on your soapbox again. Stick too biking .Al"
Swiftly followed by this:-
"as I said spud , uses this site for his own political views , Al"

Exactly my point. He didn't air a view, so how can you say his views haven't been tolerated? He simply launched an attack and the mods shouldn't tolerate that, and are completely right IMO to have done what they did. That is of course assuming that posts containing a bona fide point of view haven't been deleted.
