That looks very, very smart (thumbs) .
I have a feeling about this bike...I reckon Honda have probably got it 'spot on' just like they did when they introduced the FireBlade in 1992. Somehow capturing the moment and delivering exactly what riders were/are looking for at the time B) .
(setting aside that maybe the AT could do with a bit more grunt, but maybe not :silly:  )

Re: New Honda Africa Twin 1st ride
I think Honda has got the look of this bike spot on - much nicer than the old ATs IMHO. It looks more like the old XLV 750, one of which I had for a couple of years - trouble unfortunately.
First bike I would consider swapping my 1100gs for and I've had that for 18 years.
Enoy it, I'm sure you will (thumbs)

agree with the XLV750 look, it,s the rwb first one, 1983 RD01 ,its the tank shape, the overall bike looks more like 1994 Transalps too.gspod wrote:I think Honda has got the look of this bike spot on - much nicer than the old ATs IMHO. Honda seemed to have nailed it with this one,
I have followed a lot of reviews on various forums... and apart from the 150bhp punters, folk seem to have nothing but praise for this bike... it seems to have captured the AfricaTwin character in sound, look and ridability.
Honda have done an excellent marketing job worldwide, and will sell loads of them.
I wonder if the folk deserting the GS will wave now
Looking forward to seeing your ribs getting a good digging from Fiona
I recall her reaction to your unannounced wheelie on the Thug on the road back from Durness
