Is that metal plate an extra to mount the aluminium top box?

Would anybody know if that screen support you see in this video will fit the "old" F800GS model and if it's obtainable as a spare part?

I got a couple of prices the other day from Park Lane BMW.

800ADV £9045 + , LED spots, heated grips, LED indicators, Alarm, centre stand makes it £10,783

800ADV T £9,930 (the T is for travel apparently) + ESA, LED indicators, Alarm makes it £11,253

The T already had extra bits on it that the non T hasn't. I test rode the 'normal' 800GS and with the bits it needs (IMHO)to make it usable - a comfort seat and bigger screen, plus a few upgrades to it came to £10,476. I've got to say that for that kind of cash I found the bike pretty underwhelming. I guess if you're into them though, then the ADV actually looks like quite good value for money compared to the non ADV. Blimey aren't bikes getting stupidly expensive!!

Managed to sit on and have a good look round the 800GSA yesterday at the bike safe show. It looks awesome, i guess if you never really go off road then this could be the ideal adventure bike.
