Triumph Sprint GT - But the reviews have been a little lack lustre, My 2005 ST was absolutely excellent but the passenger seat was crap.

I test rode the GT and to be honest there was nothing specifically wrong overall, it was comfortable for the wife, reasonable power, ok handling, but it just felt bloaty compared with the ST and a little less fun.

I would probably go and get another test ride on the sprint. Maybe this whole episode has made you forget what you loved about it.
If you don't wont it after another test, then Id say stick with what you have got until there is a bike that you lust after.

I think your right, but unfortunately I always have to compromise as it has to be a touring bike. My dream bikes tend to be MV F4 or a Ducati or even a 675.

A bit of brighter news,for me anyway, it looks as though Crescent Suzuki have just opened a branch in Eastleigh where Steve Piper had his Harley shop. I think I may need to investigate tomorrow.

Thought I'd join the site to add to this. I also had two personal bikes inside Knotts when they went into receivership, but got them back within the week. The MD had left us a message and he was true to his word, there was no question.

The word out is that Knotts have been bought by the Blade Group and all the team are back on board, and should be opening up shortly. I'm going over there on Saturday to see as they have my brand new 800XC in the showroom, it turned up the day they closed...

When I collected my Old ST I was discussing your bike then, it had just been delivered the day they closed and its sat half way down the show room... very nice, i bet you must be gutted!!!

But even worse my new bike Sprint GT (Its the one in the front Window)was also their which I could touch but not take. Triumph have said that assuming it re opens i can just re do the origionla deal with the new owners and they will sort out any issues

However i can also confirm that the rumour is that Blade Group are trying to do a deal but as of yet I dont think the fat lady has sung.
