My pearl of wisdom for anyone visiting the Dolomites ever since this trip was:- If you’re visiting The Dolomites try and get there midweek, it’s a bit like our Lake District in that at the weekend it’s snided, enough to spoil the whole experience.

If you're looking for somewhere great to stay in the Dolomites check out Pension Maria in Antermoia. Not central but well worth a visit. I've stayed four times.

Link- Beemer, different model though.
50 mile ride without lids in Corsica, to get new ones after the old were nicked. A while ago, of course, when there was no H&S to worry about!
