American I believe. Harleys have had side reflectors for years.

Just been to local dealer to see one for the first time.

I was surprised how wide the engine is, and it seems a solid lump.

It looks heavy. There's no gaps through it to visually lighten it up.

And, please forgive me, but my overall impression was of a big red banana - with the high rear end, low seat and high tank.

Dare I put my head above the parapets, but I can't disagree with you, I can wait a year for the gremlins to come out, and there will be gremlins, no bike, car, tv whatever is perfect. Mr Honda has done some clever marketing here, especially limiting the supply which creates the infectious demand. Let's see how it stands up a year from now ! (thumbs)
