have a loose plan to do some of this next year, probably the Portugal section on small bikes.a couple of others have shown interest and they may join the thread.my preference is travelling light and using hotels.probably van the bikes to france, spain or the south coast for a spain bound ferry.

I'm also getting interested in a small scale TET offensive at some point. At its nearest point (about Pontaumur) the trail is just ~120kms from me.

I fancy the section Mont Doré to Aurillac and then east to Le Puy - they should be pretty good trails.

Any pics and experiences from the guys currently over here trying out the TET would be much appreciated.

Dave, the actual route goes further south, into the Lozère and Cévennes, the map on the TET Fr page is not the same as latest.

I've put it on Google maps page , can email a link if you want to study it. Google maps is quite handy as you can flip between map, satellite and terrain to try and get some idea of what's there.

Cheers Nick - yep, pls send the latest one if you have it. What I'd like to work out is how much of the TET will be tarmac link-ups and how much genuine dirt. Let's try some of it out some time. I can pick you up in the van if you like and we can give some of it a go. Wait for the temps to drop a fair bit first though.

I have now been out to France and did the French part of the TET route, fantastic route although I will say that the closer to Nice you get the better it is.
Unsure what my plans are for next year now but I do hope to do the North part of the UK TET in the next few weeks, I had hoped to do it this weekend but have been a bit too ill to be tackling it.
Oh, pics are on the Facebook page if you use Facebook courtesy of @Skygod.

couple of questions if I may...
how many bikes?
how many days?
how many miles in total?
did you do the whole of the French route?
how many hours per day riding?
