Varadero NO question. Have posted a few comments on the other bikes in the list and I am sure they are great bikes. Just ASK yourself one question; do you want to ride a supremely comfy bike with simply legendary reliability?
I got mine with a few bits and bobs for £8000, that's over 3/4k in the bank (or in my case new camera, rukka kit, boots and a few other bits and pieces) against the GSA.
You really won't regret it for what you say you need the bike to do. We have done two European tours in the last couple of months and the bike really has been asked to do a fair amount of work two up and far toooooo much luggage. It just laughed at us, never really ridden a bike this capable over distance (i am also comparing this against the Pan which I ride for a living and also the LT BMW).
Go get one now!

Well I'll add another for the Dero, it was slated by the UK market as everyone wanted a direct replacement for the AT.
Well its not an Africa Twin and never will be,
what it is, is probably the best value for money adventure bike on the market at present.
Side mounted rads are protected by aftermarket bars, but then apart from the GSA all the others need aftermarket bars and side mounted rads are still better than behind the front wheel.
If your carrying over the normal weight average and two up there is the option of changing the sprockets to help the pulling power, even though it pulls like a freight train on standard. I've gone the other way and changed sprockets for a better cruising Rpm, it was fast before now its faster but that really wasn't why I chose to do it. Wet grass, shale or just riding slowly are more controllable and the bike will cruise at 5000 revs all day doing a ton.
I have fitted bar displacers to bring the bars up and back, but I'm a short arse compared to most. I fitted a gel insert before my annual endurance ride with TheLongestDay crew ( Five UK Capitals in a day) and had a sheepskin on for Norway (1000km a day for the first 3 days)
Pillions have always said it’s a big climb but great and comfy.
I am waiting for the Truimph 800 tiger, but can’t afford new so IF it’s a worthy replacement I’ll be getting one in three years failing that I’ll keep the Dero, it is a true European Overlander and in capable hands will go (almost) anywhere, now that its available in Oz and Canada its being used more off road with no problems reported.
I love mine and it still gets 10 out of 10 on grin factor, in fact it’s close to 10 on all factors bar off road but thats my lack of off road experience holding it back.
