I served in the Falklands conflict and I have my reason for asking why Al's opinion was valid or in- valid, what is it that offends you, it doesn't offend me ?Teflon Jnr wrote:The Sarge wrote:Don't know what the fuss is about? I ask the Moderators to comment, why should someone's opinion be deemed offensive enough to ban them?? we're all grown ups for pity sake !!!!
Would you have the same opinion if you had lost a friend or family member in the falklands when someone is being damn right rude and offensive to them

Well first Sarge I'd like to thank you for your service I have a family member who has suffered greatly due to service and other members who served also for our country I find it a direct insult to my family when someone blatantly has disregard for our family's loss and turmoil. And for our soldiers who serve everyday.but I suppose it's OK as long as your Scottish and have a one sided opinion maybe we should fly the scottish/moto al flag instead

Good to see you posting Andy! I've been posting much less and have considered following you on the disappearing act for exactly that reason.AndyB wrote:I haven't posted here for months but I'll dip a toe in the water and say that this forum is following a bigger trend of becoming intolerant of others views.
Let him back.

Well your age shows your wisdom and naivety, I lost friends and saw my fellow Countrymen come ashore at Bluff Cove maimed, charred and burnt beyond recognition, the smell has never left me. 10 years past I travelled around Argentina and Patagonia, meeting relatives of the lost Junta soldiers, and do you know what I learnt? That everyone has a story to tell and there are opinions on those stories, like it or lump it, that's the way it is !Teflon Jnr wrote:Well first Sarge I'd like to thank you for your service I have a family member who has suffered greatly due to service and other members who served also for our country I find it a direct insult to my family when someone blatantly has disregard for our family's loss and turmoil. Al's opinion is as valid as the next man, does it have any value or credence, well that's another discussion but what makes this country great, and what I believe I fought for was we have a freedom of choice and a freedom of speech, the moderators on here should take note and you also !!

Would normally say I couldn't care less about this sort of thing, as learned to ignore rubbish I wasn't interested a long time ago.
The one time I tried to dechiper a post of his was enough to teach me not to bother again!
But as he looks like a proper attention seeker who also gets personal enough to upset some people, why keep giving him the chance to do either?
Leave him binned, and all move on I say (thumbs)

Just seen the thread, he's a muppet, AndyB not posting anymore so he's decided to take his indiscriminate vitriol spray to Spud instead. I think it was Old Git Ray who said he needs help and that was bang on.-Ralph- wrote:What did he do this time?motorbike wrote:noticed moto al has been banned again  ...admittedly he is quick to put his opinion down...but it is his opinion (even though it may have seemed insensitive )....looks like we will all have to think things through a bit before posting from now on.....at least when not bike related
While I totally understand and agree with comments about tolerance of other people's views, I don't see the relevance in this context, from what is readable on the thread now, MotoAl didn't post any views, he just had a go about Spud and made soap box accusations.

Re: moto al banned again
I maybe young but I am neither stupid nor naive I am simply saying that one persons views on a conflict were bigoted and rude moto al is constantly being border line racist if he loves Scotland as much as he portrays then maybe he should stay up there instead he seems to post about being in England is that not a conflict of interestThe Sarge wrote:Well your age shows your wisdom and naivety, I lost friends and saw my fellow Countrymen come ashore at Bluff Cove maimed, charred and burnt beyond recognition, the smell has never left me. 10 years past I travelled around Argentina and Patagonia, meeting relatives of the lost Junta soldiers, and do you know what I learnt?
