No just the same as you mentioned, will download a few and see what works best.
Great think i like is it takes a sim card which is very handy, its the ultimate all in one device (thumbs)

Hi guys, thought I'd bring this back up instead of starting a new thread:
an old chestnut I know, but any thoughts/ ideas on sat navs, cos the iPad in my tank bag is ok for getting from A to B but not ideal for proper routes or twisties plus my 12v socket can't keep it powered for more than 4 hours anyway.
I've had tom-tom riders, car navs in a bag, Garmin 590 (which was rubbish really so got shut), iPhone & iPad mini (I got copilot Europe which is really good by the way) and now thinking of buying a cheap android phablet with 5 or 6 inch screen & a cheap case to weather proof it.
I am actually now doing my own head in now running through all the options over and again - does anyone recommend a particular set up?
Also I tried the iPad mini on a RAM mount & tab tite holder but it sticks above the inner tinted screen on my SA and is a bit big really with its 8" screen.
The phablets (phone/tablet I just learned the other day lol) are way more powerful than a dedicated gps and the tom-tom rider screen is too small now anyway at 4.3" & the Garmin plotting software & user interface does my head in as well.
Thanks in advance & penny for your thoughts!

What mods did you make to the mount Thomas?
I looked at those apps on the mobile is there any way of getting the maps to rotate and show direction of travel upwards as I cant seem to find the option?

The stock brodit mount 513692 is for in car use. I had to find a way to stop the tablet sliding out. The solution are two holders from Richter HR1684.
Removed the Brodit ball against a AMPS Socket from RAM.
Bougth a long RAM arm.
Used an U-Bold from RAM for handlebar mounting.
And depending from the position on your bike, you have to waterproof the 12V/5V power converter.
