If my dad comes along he is now saying he wants something bigger than a 250. So kooks like we will be after a couple of bike from this thread. Some good stuff to choose from. Also a BMW g450x via a pm...Lots to think about.

What you need is a nice French registered DRZ (thumbs)

We have a few enduros for sale and stock changing all the time. We have a 2013 KTM XCF 250 which is in lovely condition and very low hours use. Also, 250 2 stroke, and a few 450's. Everything is riden and fully serviced before it goes out.
I have been reading the posts and wouldn't suggest doing 3000 miles on a KTM 500 without a service, no matter what your riding is like. The bikes being suggested are all competition bikes and as such need a bit more TLC but nothing too complicated. If you want long service intervals then look towards something more road biased like a Suzuki DRZ. You will pay the penalty in weight and power though.

Don't write off a 250 before trying them. The new kit is amazing in power and a big weight saving.
