I also blew some cash on a new KTM for the youngest granddaughter because it's going to annoy her mother. Only a 'trainer' bike that she just sits on and skates along with her feet rather than pedal but she's not 2 for another 3 weeks so it's a start.

Off peak return Glasgow to NEC £125.70 so still not particularly cheap when you add in parking at the station if you have to use it.
Prebooked tickets at set times would knock about tenner off that.
One of the coach companies would probably be the cheapest but that's a terrible way to travel a lot of miles.

I went yesterday on an organised coach trip. £28 including entrance (thumbs) Early start(6am) and home at8.30 but at that price I,m not complaining.
