Yep, nothing personal and there are worse ones, get three or four members with sigs like that on one thread and that's a lot of space.Mark1961 wrote:What like mine?special one wrote:While we're on the moan, I also find big sigs on people's posts annoying, links galore or big photos, the sigs are bigger than any text they post, a forum I'm a mod on don't allow big sigs and I'm in agreement with it.

I don't really care who has what as a signature until I'm away in Europe and paying for my internet when large signatures and reposted pictures soon eat away at my free allowance and it starts to cost a lot of money.special one wrote:Yep, nothing personal and there are worse ones, get three or four members with sigs like that on one thread and that's a lot of space.Mark1961 wrote:What like mine?special one wrote:While we're on the moan, I also find big sigs on people's posts annoying, links galore or big photos, the sigs are bigger than any text they post, a forum I'm a mod on don't allow big sigs and I'm in agreement with it.

Just in case there's any doubt on the subject, you DON'T have to always quote the post you are responding to, especially if it's the latest post on the thread. Just hit the REPLY button instead.
And if you are going to quote, be selective about what you use if the previous post is fairly wordy. Remove extraneous text that's not needed, leaving just the sentence you are responding to. You do this by editing (deleting) the text between the <quote> and </quote> commands.
Now feel free to use this thread to experiment in response editing.
Hit the QUOTE button to respond to this post and edit the text that you are quoting leaving just the words 'feel free to use this thread' from the second post on the thread.
Hint: this will involve removing one of the sets of <quote> and </quote> commands.

Well Gents, the good news is I don't come on here very much any more. The forum is not what it used to be. So you won't see my sig that much.AndyB wrote:I don't really care who has what as a signature until I'm away in Europe and paying for my internet when large signatures and reposted pictures soon eat away at my free allowance and it starts to cost a lot of money.special one wrote:Yep, nothing personal and there are worse ones, get three or four members with sigs like that on one thread and that's a lot of space.Mark1961 wrote:What like mine?special one wrote:While we're on the moan, I also find big sigs on people's posts annoying, links galore or big photos, the sigs are bigger than any text they post, a forum I'm a mod on don't allow big sigs and I'm in agreement with it.
The bad news is, it's staying put.

Just copy and paste one quote to another quote. No multi quote option on abr I'm afraid.900Fantrider wrote:That what I want to know aswell!!Crossrutted wrote:How do you quote from two separate posts into one reply?

I find it useful to hover the mouse over the "quote" button and hand hand click it, then 'open in new tab', you can do this with as many quotes as you want, then copy and paste them together in one post in the order you want them.CRAIGREVO wrote:

Agree with Craigrevo though, multi quote would be a good option.
