I certainly recommend the bike!!
.. took my CRF250L out today for its inaugural deflowering by trail ..
what a beautiful mannered bike!!
.. excellent carburation (fuel injection, rather) .. simple easy get-there rolling. perfect gearing. well sprung. (for me and my bimbling riding)

pics to follow.

even got through this delightful gift from the local farmer ..

it feels light on the trails. easy to push. easy to ride over medium obstacles.

Hi Guys, really like my CRF but find it testing when overtaking, it just doesn't have quite enough go. I am pretty clueless re mechanical/tuning stuff but wondered about whether it was poss to say rebore it to 350 - any ideas ??

yup ... the 4x4's have really churned it up, though. .. and the nasty farmer man has dumped tons of soil and farmyard muck at entrances and gates. .. same old story but worse!

its a legal byeway but badly abused by 4x4's, gangs of bikers, and farmers, as well as illegal fly tippers, (and tons of dumped rubbish. Even a burned out car today). Often police up there, as well as horse riders and ramblers. You should have seen the walkers' faces when confronted by tons of stinking shit at strategic places. When I pushed my bike out of the shit rut I was stuck in, I had sticky stinky cow shit clinging to my legs up to knee height. and spattered on my back. Great fun. Enjoyed it. but may not go there again? for quite a while, anyway.

That's a nice job on the rear shock Gary, well done you having the bottle to go for it.
Robert there is lots of stuff on advrider about the 305 kit,http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/d ... e.1037914/
I agree overtaking is probably the biggest drawback for me.
