As I was going through the threads it reminded me of one I saw years ago about a chav that kicked a concrete fence through and suddenly it pops up at the end

He did the right thing without a doubt mate. They are both mates. He had to go at both of them and it worked. Yeah he didn't do anything, but if his mate is getting a beating he's going to go to his defence. By using a shock and awe tactic it didn't give either of them time to react. In this day and age with knifes the guy couldn't take the chance.

Being drunk doesn't excuse elbowing the girl in the face. The guy looked at her just before he hit her so he knew what he was doing.
