I'm really sorry you feel that way David .. I know the French camp are really looking forward to it with the greatest of excitement.
There is even raging speculation that PIP is considering coming along, to give that authentic French camp aire.

Personally I can understand your reticence, thinking of all those times you would be stranded in Outer Mongolia (the equator bit) .. in just the one tent .. but with loads of curry and lager supplies, .. and lying there hearing the snoring and hoping no one wakes up after watching your one vid .. lawnback mountain .. it would be hell … well, for some.

I urge you to reconsider though, as there are loads of endorsements and sponsorship deals coming in ..

the AA .. supplies of rechargeable barriers for the HD flymo,
David Silver .. spare new shiny mower blades,
Royal Sussex .. emergency bailout (m)exits from intolerable situations,
Andrew Royal .. alleged supplies of young cheerleaders and national grid girls,
o .. and loads more ..

Sweet Lamb .. training in outdoor cooking,
AutoTrader .. exchange mowers,
Ann Summers .. anti-vibration cranks,
Bear Grilles .. outdoor cooking through Canada (the equator section),
MyTyres .. advice on how to nick your mates nobblies,
..

You have just highlighted my ultimate get out clause...no tents (or motorhomes).

Waaaay back in 1977 our honeymoon was on our Bonneville camping along the Rhine with my best man and his girlfriend as we had already planned the holiday so it seemed convenient. The following year was on a stroppy Jubilee Bonnie mainly in Denmark. We’ve got soaked in Cornwall, Wales and all over England so I am tent time served now as they were they days when waterproof and motorcycle clothing were mutually exclusive.

We’ve had a few motorhome holidays but 4 weeks in NZ was the final straw of shared shower and toilet blocks so the relative comfort we have in retirement means we can now go for good hotels. Our forthcoming trip to SA is further up the comfort scale as we have ever been. And anything is better than most of the hotels we had on our RE trip in India, and they were supposed to be the better ones.

Which means that, sadly, much as the idea has some appeal (1%) and thanks for the offer, I feel some who actually has some enthusiasm might be more appropriate, as long as he can cut grass to a high enough standard. I am happy to pre-assess their prowess.
2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro sadly gone due to ill health.
Now on a 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400X but may be fitter next year.

Hi David .. as you know, I am not the manager of this awesome enterprise, though I am sure the lads will ask me, once I salvage my last failed enterprise the `pissup in a brewery` affair,
.. you could at least consider giving your support to the intrepid global mowers .. in the California section .. as it never rains in southern california :)

And here's the record we need to beat:

Can't believe nobody has driven a mower RTW before. After all it's a piece of piss. What could possibly go wrong?

He ‘encountered no mechanical issues at all’ on his Kubota diesel - I think it might be a bit different with a Briggs and Stratton

Removing moles before they spoil your grass and make mowing difficult.
