Hi motorbike, is there anywhere local that you can test ride one ?
I'm with minky and crofty on this, they are a great do all bike, maybe
Miss out the long motorway run , but I have done big motorway miles
At a 65mph cruise speeds, commuting, greenlaning with the ABC
Lot of here, which can get quite extreme, and the little Honda has
Done it all and never missed a beat. I'm a big believer of leaving bikes
Stock ish, as its to expensive to upgrade, minky has spent a lot on
His, I'm yet to have a ride, but he has turned it into something very
Special to suit his exact needs. A new can frees it up somewhat, and
A bigger tank, or the cheaper option, a 2 Ltr fuel buddy are musts ,gets
You to 130 fuel range.

Between the three of us we must have clocked 40000 + trouble free
Miles, my advice, buy one. (thumbs)

Its not gutless just low powered, if you're usual mode of travelling is the third lane its the wrong choice.

If I don't have something else I will be heading up on the crf from London - Inverness & then 6 nights wild camping around Highlands. I will likely give myself 2 days to get up there using the scenic route. At a steady plod I get 130-140 to a tank, 2 litre fuel bottle job done. I've only needed to use it once so far :)

I have,nt felt the need for a large tank yet, but might change that if I take it to Morocco next year. I can get 130 all and every day riding normally and the best I had was 138 before I gave in and refuelled. With a 1 litre sigg bottle in the tool tube (perfect fit incidentally) this gives me another 18/20 miles driven economically,so theoretically 155, good enough for most places in Europe. Minky Like to see your photos of the 120 mile solo trip. Was it in Albania ? I was in Albania with whippet this year and it looked like there was trails everywhere, some of them were are called major roads though

thanks, Birdie ... I got some stuff from the 250 X , and was wondering if the 250X gear lever fits [as it is hinged] (to save me taking the oem one off to see)
