Is it ever going to warm up!

Im in Aviemore this week with work, on holiday with a service user. Yesterday we were abseiling and went from freezing in a blizzard to being baked alive when the sun showed its face for a while then back to frozen again. Today the mountains are all white and its -3 and sunny but snow forecast for later today.

Yup well known fact that wet, cold roads offer just as much grip as warm, dry ones :dry:

Joking aside, be bloody careful with that attitude to riding in the wet & cold, at the risk of sounding like an old fogey, I've learnt that if you're riding as hard in the wet as you are in the dry than you're doing it wrong in one set of conditions at least (thumbs)

I rode home from Lowestoft to yorkshire yesterday , cold, wet, snow and the worst was the hail around doncaster. hard to believe it is nearly may.with the high preasure in the atlantic and the low over the north sea the uk is like a funnel for cold arctic air unfortunately its a pattern that is slow to move away.

I don't have a car so the weather is irrelevant to me in many ways. The only slightly annoying thing is that I put my heated waistcoat and winter jacket away during that warm spell after Easter. Luckily I don't take my muffs of till may cos they're handy in the rain

Snowed here on and off all day, bloody weather

It's snowed here this evening and it's a bit parky whenever I go out for a smoke but nothing serious.

A group of us are off to the Ardennes on Friday morning so a lead for my heated jacket went on the KTM this morning, my winter gloves have been dragged out again and my merino wool thermals don't stink too much when you consider I didn't wash them after coming home from a 10 day trip to Scandinavia in February. I've no doubt at all that by Friday morning the temperature will have risen to at least 10c and I'll be sweating like a rapist when I'm stuck in traffic on the M25
