I was getting confused "Dawn to Dusk" to me sounds like it's all run in daylight?

As opposed to the "Dusk to Dawn" a 12 hour mountain bike race in Thetford Forest that is ALL in the dark.

But now I see their is a night bit and even a 24 hour, shouldn't that be "Dawn to Dusk and bit extra too" :laugh:

I had thought about this as my race debut but have gone for the Hafren Rally in October instead. And I won't be in the Big Bike Rally challenge as I've entered the beginners class, which at 2 laps instead of 3 wont count towards the BBRC.

Hopefully if everything goes well and I don't wreck either me or the bike, It might be a late entry for the Cambrian Rally two weeks later or at the very least a few entries in the BBRC next year.

And no, i'm not racing on the Tiger :blink:

The original race was, AFAIK the 12hr race on the Sunday. Hence the *event* is called the Dawn to Dusk.

It's only the last few years they've run the 24hr option as well, which I suppose is a Dusk to Dusk , and only this year they're running the overnight big bike event.

Frankly changing the name to "Dusk to Dawn to Dusk on big or small bikes" just didn't scan - plus a certain film of a similar name might have entrants worrying about vampire sheep (we are in Wales after all)or suchlike.

Maybe we should just call it "you must be mental"?

hope to see a few of you next year? or come spectate - at lest you can get yours tyres dirty getting to the paddock!

We will be there but on lickle bikes racing the 24hr. I have an ABR sticker on the KTM so please put me and it, with the writing the right way up, if you find me please.

Does the husky have good lights?if so can I follow it? I followed Patsy for the first lap last year,well, when I say followed I mean just about kept up whilst she wafted along without a care in the world. I did overtake her once tho....she missed a track marker and overshot a descent thru trees. Is Mr Noble confirmed? stopped for a chat with him in the darkness ,that was surreal. B)
