It's the "car as fridge" mentality i.e. it's just another household appliance. Just accept you better than them and move on.
Mind you the comment on 45's is spot on; holding me up out of town, driving up me arse in town. Bastards!!!!!

Well this all pails in to insignificance when you consider the Indian tester at my place came over for 10 months,, repeatedly hiring cars at weekends to sight see having never passed a test with any form of credibility (they bribe an official to get a license) and has no requirement to take a uk test for this time. I just cannot believe how our laws can allow this to happen.

The standard of driving is very low. I drive/rode over a moorland road to work. The number of people who cut right across the white line when taking a right hand bend is incredible. No regard whatsoever for anything coming the other way, be it a bike or a car.
Indicating at roundabouts, especially when exiting a roundabout, a thing of the past.
Lane discipline on a motorway, non existent.
Parking offences - parking on a solid white line. happens all the time close to where I live. Even the police do nothing about it. Most folk don't even know these days that it's an endorsable offence.
As as been said braking at every bend, speeding up then slowing down. Women especially stopping at every parked car if a car is coming the other way, regardless of how wide the road is. I could go on and on......
I'm far from perfect, slow on a bike but some people really do make it hard work.
I've ridden today 2 up around the Lakes. The number of drivers who slow right down going uphill and round bends making difficult for you is ridiculous. They'd all fail the test these days for not making good progress according to the speed limit.

Not enough FEDs on the road or FEDs that care to enforce the minimum standard

There's a couple of things that really boil my P*ss
At the top of our village there's a slight incline up to the main road, if you want to turn left there is a small slip road, enough to turn into the slip, then accelerate out into the flow of the busy main road.... the number of car drivers that get to the top, then treat it like a give way rather than entering the slip
The other thing is having an ambulance coming up behind you with blues and two's .. in lane 2 of a dual carriageway, which is totally clear... and the driver in lane 1 in front of you slams his brakes on ......
