It's my daughter's wedding on the 24th, so I'll have to decline.

Hmmm, hopefully, as I missed the Boil. 600 miles each way, long way for a weekend, have to see if I can make a week of it.
Enfield Himalayan... apparently they're Marmite... not keen on Marmite, but like Vegemite

Glad to see such a healthy interest in my idea of a Scottish ABR meet up, sorry you'll be away Steve,,, possibly
The campsite is enormous and can cater for more tents than the Takoda site, not meaning it's better, just bigger and more commercial. Numbers only need to be approx as the site is very flexible and as long as we've a rough idea Steve will arrange a roped off area for us all.
As I offered earlier, I'm willing to lead one of the rides on the weekend if not a couple if we decide to stretch it over two days instead of one, say Saturday the loop of Durness, Lairg back to Ullapool then the Sunday the loop around Applecross (Ballaich Na Ba, the pass of cattle. We could break into smaller groups and have several leaders so would welcome any help with the organisation of this event?
Ullapool has several eateries, an Indian restaurant at the campsite gates, two chip shops with fish to die for, local pubs do good meals including one at the harbour that does amazing seafood!
I'll have a decent single malt with me, to sample a good dram hunt me down, and all will be well with the world!
Steve, could you add me to the name list please?

Jim - I'd be more than happy to lead a ride over to Applecross Mate. I'd also like to make more of it than just a day, so I will be staying on as time permits with work - maybe taking in the Cairgorms for the Nature Rally while I am up that way.
Cheers
James

Thanks James, sounds good to me, if we make two days of it we could do four groups, two doing the northern loop day one, two groups doing the southern loop day two with another pair of groups doing the opposite direction to keep sizes down? so plenty of variation? We'd need four leaders, two of us so far! LWR may offer, he's always very accomodating!
I feel a plan coming together!
