A winter rated sleeping bag is just about ok for a warm July night!

A sleeping bag liner is a cheap way of keeping cool in summer and staying warm in winter.
Spirits help stay warm too!

Guy ropes can be used as a washing line.
Travel light, or travel with friends who have heavy bikes anyway.

OK, I have said it before & I'll say it again - Why wouldn't I just take my 1.4kg tent & 1kg sleeping bag & actually be happy? :)

Do not pitch your tent in line with the toilets and the camp fire
some one will go flying over your guy ropes and when you pop you head out and start laughing they do get upset
If your not the lead dog the view never change's

Buy baby wipes instead of toilet paper as they are more hygienic and seal.
Have more than one dry bag
Use the best quality kit you can afford and the most important ..... sleeping bag, pillow and mattress so you nejoy the next day and get some decent sleep!

Research your kit before you buy!
Use a top quality retailer with a good reputation ..... I use TravelDri-Plus as its top kit with the service to match. Ive had kit from Les five years ago and its as good as the day i bought it.

Definitely take a collapsable camping chair if you can afford the room.
A few luxuries can make for a much better trip.
I also take a Decathlon tarp to extend the shelter over the tent.
If the weather is crap then, I can still cook in the dry.

+1 for the sleeping bag liner...

....oh, and whiskey ;)

Use one of these 'Pour & Store' bags and you don't even have to get out the tent to pee.
what do you think the lenor bottle is for? ;)
I know what it's for but the bags fold up very small and is leak proof. :)

With enough water to make a medium or 2 small strong brews (Even tea with a round T bag) it will boil in about 70 seconds on a gas stove.
I have 3, and choose tiny, medium or big depending if I am alone or not.
Lightweight alloy and breaks down to smaller pieces to store away.
I like that. Where from?
