Is that silicon bronze tig or oxyfuel welded?
Only recently started using it at work and wish I'd tried it years ago.

It was silicon bronze tig, but to be honest the filler wire was to big for the job it was starting to burn the
zinc plating off the tube

Today I installed Hagon springs in my BMW F650 Funduro. They feel really good and have given my 15 year old bike a new lease of life.

Fitted some Renthal bars, Some pointy mirrors, new grips and some nice red anodized levers. I also found one of my throttle cables has snapped and looks like it has been snapped for some time so that is another thing added to the to do list :(

Well, got them both out and run them for a bit as they aren't getting used :(

Then I stripped all the plastics off the KLX which made it look well cool B)

Polished them all up. Vacant space, there were some pretty deep scratches on them so I lightly sanded them down, then rubbed with a Stanley blade which got them perfect. Then on the white bits I gently sprayed some Halfords lacquer and on green bits just used WD40 which worked a lot better than the plastic polish that I spent actual money on

Finally I fixed the helmet lock which had grit in it.

All extremely satisfying.

tapped to can bus and run feed to relay so now got powerpoint switchable with ignition for anything I want. so added auxiliary lights and USB charging point. changed screen to MRA and fabricated simple phone/gps holder. also changed bash plate from standard plastic one to mottorad aluminium. well happy with result.

Thanks Brenhden! There was me thinking that TCut / wet 'n dry may be a bit harsh - so now, that 'n WD40 it is :)

My plastics are a bit mingin' close up, and various unctions and solutions haven't really worked... Time to treat the plastic a bit more like I treat my metal (thumbs)
