Hepatitis A. The hepatitis A vaccine is one of two vaccinations recommended for all travellers going to Morocco. ...
Typhoid. ...
Hepatitis B. ...
Rabies. ...
Tetanus. ...
Malaria. ...
Yellow Fever. , these are the recommended ones , but a bit over the top , hep A , tetanus , typhoid , malaria ? were what our doc recommended a couple of years ago when we visited , but others go with none , rabies is bloody expensive and from what I recall only helps delay the urgency to get to a hospital with correct vaccines. I believe . The I think the biggest issue will be the trots so a pack of tablets for that is a must I think . We made the mistake of drinking some home made lemonade and suffered the consequences and dirty water in Cambodia had a similar affect :)

That's a good point to make clear from the start; there are clearly at east two different 'classes' of bikers coming and in any event to my thinking a group of 21 is far too big, both for comfort and safety. I'm planning to head off on my lonesome at some point to revisit some places Mrs S and I went to after her geography field trip way back in '92 or '93, and maybe count some places for us to sojourn away from the ing Pyrenean winters after we're 'retired' - an ever diminishing horizon ...

If anyone wants to join me on that gig that's fine, we'll talk on the way down, but as long as no-one feels that the group is having problems just because a few people go 'walkabout'. I'm also planning on heading back on the Tanger Med - Barcelona ferry, possibly with John and Jayne as we've - we'll Mrs S! - offered to babysit their doggy back in the Pyrenees for the duration. Likewise anyone wants to join that leg let's talk dates as I guess you have to book that route in advance?

One question; could you post up the link on page 1 to the Opencycle map download that was mentioned somewhere down the line?

The size of the group if it doesn't thin out through out the year, organising same has already been taken into hand.

Christophe, who has been before and knows the ropes, will take one half whilst I take the other, at a staggered start. The two will bunny hop each other when each has stopped for photoshoots, smoke breaks etc. throughout the day. The two also will never be far away if anyone/moto needs to be loaded onto a pick up.

Just think of it as ten riders at minimum of 100m apart is 1 km.

Have a peep on page one for the maps download links.

:)

I've just read this topic from page 1 to page 17 and I am very, very envious of all you guys who are going. I'm sure you'll have an excellent 'adventure' (thumbs) . It sounds like it's going to be superb (thumbs) (thumbs) .

A really small recommendation for the riders who are going via Ronda...if you have the time take the 'Ronda Road' (A397) from the town down to the outskirts of Puerto Banus and back up again. Or head up to Ronda via that road if you only want to ride it one way. It'll only take about 1 hour. It's a truly superb piece of tarmac and used in all the magazines when they are testing new bikes or new cars. This, of course, is a miniscule part of the trip in what you'll be doing overall but you won't be dissapointed if you do ride it for an hour (thumbs) .
