If you're worried about your speed showing in your videos, just state it's in kms, nobody can prove otherwise (thumbs)

Re: Africa twin
Booked my test ride today, had a GS800 for a day late last week so thought it would be good to compare the two close"ish" to each other. Interestingly BMW say take it out for a day really get to know it and see what you think, I asked Honda for a couple of hours and was told 40 mins is all you get. Not really enough in my opinion, I really hope its good, but i will also be looking at a KTM 1050 later in the week, advertised at 8200, will the AT be £2300 better ???

Honda marketed the Africa Twin like Columbia Films marketed the first Ghost Busters movie.
That movie was also very good, but it was also brilliantly marketed.
What the fuck am I talking about? Anyway, KTM slid the 1050 out of the back door and nobody's bought one.
I'd say yep, the AT would be worth the extra.

Re: Africa twin
That video of the Africa Twin being ridden round a short Enduro track is good but there is no way in the real world that you could ride a bike like that on a course like that. Still good to watch, though (thumbs) .
Suzuki GSX-S1000F...the KTM 450 EXC-R has gone

That's a good report Scutty, I test rode both the GS and GSA then rode the 701 and I know exactly what you mean about the lightness and power, the 701 is so exciting to ride, even when running it in and I can't see the 690 being any different. The 701 has rekindled my faith in motorcycles.
Finally back on a GS

If it's of any interest I saw a white Africa twin yesterday on the Merthyr to Cardiff road. Maybe a new demo being run in!
